Listen. I love a good sale. Snagging the perfect tee at half price is awesome... but I'm starting to realize that most of the good stuff is usually gone by the time I even think of buying it, and maybe I just need to purchase something at full price if I really love it (I said, as the penny pincher inside me winced.). Sigh. Is this what becoming an adult is? Buying something at full price? Anyway! Super happy about my full price purchase of this tee from Madewell. True to its name, the "whisper" quality proves the shirt to be slightly see through but not vampy. It's not the softest shirt I own, but it's not scratchy either. And seems like I have a thing for stripes. ❤️ The shorts are a purchase earlier this summer when things were 50% off at AE! They have a good stretch but maintain their shape pretty well, and the shade of blue is rich enough for me. I don't love the standard AE stitching on the back pocket... but I'm picky.
Does anyone else wonder how much it tea costs to make and distribute clothes??? Especially, when AE does their 50% off deal. They are still definitely making a profit. But if I were to make my own shorts the time spent and cost of materials would make it pretty pricey. I'm just basically amazed at how they can make relatively high quality clothing for such a steal.
